About EHHAF

EveryDay Hero Housing Housing Assistance Fund, founded in 2011, is headquartered in Denver, Colorado. Our mission is to expand housing opportunities to teachers, doctors, nurses, fire and police professionals, and social workers and to promote the value of homeownership as the foundation for building strong communities and personal security for men and women serving their communities. In 2005, a Denver Colorado based company called Legacy Housing Assistance Fund opened it’s doors and sought to help our community Heroes, Teachers, Police, Firefighters, Medical professionals, and Social Workers own a home.

Like it’s sister organization Military Housing Assistance Fund (MHAF) that helps all branches of our military, Legacy provided closing cost assistance to these pillars of our community as a free gift they never had to repay. Legacy was offered the opportunity by Fannie Mae to offer our clients a 100% financing mortgage loan for only $500 down. Legacy helped many of our Everyday Heroes become homeowners until the turn of the economy and subsequent hard times that brought our country to its knees forcing Legacy to close its doors. 2011 saw the reopening of these doors under new management and the new name Everyday Hero Housing Assistance Fund. This new launch signified the breathing of new life into a mission started over 6 years before, a mission tested, proven, refined and ready to take the much-needed initiative by leading the charge to help those so deserving of whatever assistance may be out there to help them become homeowners.
